Snow pants are the best thing to wear ice skating when it is very cold out, and they can keep you dry, too, if you fall. Don’t forget your hat if you get cold easily. According to the Whitewater Center, the ice rink consists of over 24,000 sq. Ft. of unique skating space split into four distinct skating areas, including two ice trails and two free skate zones. This fine establishment is open all year round and the timings’ for the public skating vary daily.

General admission is $18.00 per person for a 75-minute skate session. In the middle there’s an on-ice Airstream that serves hot and cold beverages. Off-ice, sandwiches, salads, soup, drinks and desserts are also available for purchase. For just $10, you get to spend two hours on the ice. This is a family-friendly outdoor skating experience.

If you are looking for a fun winter activity, ice skating is a perfect choice. Charlotte has many great places to go ice skating, and no matter your skill level, there is an option for you. In this blog post, we will list some of the top places in Charlotte where you can enjoy a nice skate on the frozen surface of a rink surrounded by other happy skaters. Skaters will be given a skating punch pass good for six free public skating sessions good for the duration of your class session. We recommend at least one practice a week for Basic levels and 2+ days a week for Free skate levels.

If you are interested in learning how to ice skate or need to warm up before hitting outdoor rinks, this is a great place to come and practice! Figure skating and hockey leagues also take place here at Pineville. So join them anytime for ice skating in Charlotte North Carolina.
