The cruise line has implemented measures to minimize water usage through the installation of water-efficient fixtures and systems. Furthermore, Carnival promotes responsible water use among guests and encourages them to help conserve water during their visit to the private islands. One of the key initiatives implemented by Carnival is the protection and preservation of marine life and coral reefs surrounding the private islands. The cruise line educates guests about the importance of marine conservation and encourages responsible snorkeling and diving practices to minimize any damage to these sensitive ecosystems. Thrill-seekers will be delighted with the water parks and slides available on some of Carnival’s private islands.

Close to shore there are not much fish due all the visitors but you can join a boat trip to go snorkeling and diving in these clear warm waters. Future developments include developing a deep-water dock allowing cruise ships to moor right next to a new pier. Currently the shallow waters mean that visiting cruisers must use a tender (motor boat) to transfer from the cruise ship to the island. Norwegian Cruise Line's Great Stirrup Cay -- located in the Bahamas' Berry Island chain, 130 nautical miles due east of Fort Lauderdale -- is a 250-acre island. The cay features dining and bar areas, private beachfront cabanas, a straw market, a kid-friendly Aqua Park and more.

On that note, do some research, book your cruise and excursions, and grab the sunscreen because the unforgettable waters of the Caribbean are waiting for you. Found just a few miles offshore from Placencia, Belize, the 75-acre property offers both a beach with loungers and private villas, and a lagoon pool with a swim-up bar, lounge chairs and private cabanas. The island also features shops selling local wares, a zip line, a lighthouse that you can climb, a kids splash park and a wildlife sanctuary that includes birds, butterflies and snakes. If you love a good beach day, you'll likely be a fan of cruise line private islands. In most cases, the beach (or beaches) is the central attraction of the private island. Most activities center on sunning and swimming, water sports or other outdoor pursuits.
There is a special lagoon aqua park with island-themed action fun area where kids can play in the safe shallow water. Norwegian’s other private destination is located in the Berry Islands, the northernmost islands in the Bahamas. A once busy sailing route, the island has its own lighthouse, which is now solar powered. The menus include typical bar food with some touches of the Caribbean with fried plantains and ceviche.
Castaway Family Beach is the central hub of activity with a stunning Bahamian beach and lots of loungers and umbrellas. Swim in the water, snorkel in the lagoon or enjoy activities, music, and dancing. This guide provides an overview of the islands, major activities, food and beverages, highlights, as well as what you need to know before going onshore. Some islands have more of a natural island feel, whereas others have been amplified to provide thrills and numerous excursion options. Carnival Magic restarted operations on August 7 and was the sixth ship in the fleet to do so. There are two additional Carnival ships currently sailing from Port Canaveral, including Mardi Gras and Carnival Elation.

The Mayan Princess All-Inclusive Resort with Open Bar shore excursion lets you sample the best of an exclusive Caribbean resort, all within a single booking. From tropical gardens and waterfalls to relaxing beaches and refreshing pools, this excursion lets you enjoy the resort experience with a convenience that’s tough to find anywhere else.
Whether you prefer to hang loose on the beach or embark on an action-packed excursion, here are some of the best things to do on Half Moon Cay. In addition to a half-mile of sandy beaches with loungers and umbrellas, cruisers can enjoy private clamshells and bungalows for rent, as well as a free beach barbecue. Walkways make it easy for visitors to meander from one area to another, and excursions abound, including stingray encounters, banana boat rides and fishing, among other pursuits. Water sports rentals and shore excursions such as horseback riding, snorkeling and biking/hiking tours are available for booking. For anyone wanting a lazy beach day, Half Moon Cay boasts 2.5 miles of white sand for lounging and sunbathing. Subsequently, the island property was developed with some 50 acres (200,000 m2, or about 2% of the island) of infrastructure and facilities.

Environmental and sustainability initiatives play a vital role in the development of these islands, ensuring the preservation of the natural beauty and ecological balance. Throughout their visit, guests can expect the same level of friendly and attentive service that they have come to expect from Carnival Cruise Line.
This destination offers a blend of cultural experiences, water-based activities, and relaxation opportunities for cruise passengers. Carnival Celebration Cabins Are Crisp and Modern
If you can stand the wait, Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals often push fares a little lower with added bonuses like higher onboard credit to enhance your cruise. Mardi Gras is full of fantastic family-friendly dining, including the line's Dr. Seuss-themed Green Eggs and Ham Breakfast (for a small fee). The ship also includes pizza, soft-serve ice cream, Shaq's fried chicken and Guy Fieri burgers in its fares. Kids can order off special menus in the complimentary main dining rooms and join in their waiters' rollicking dance performances just when they start to get antsy sitting still. Located at the top of each ship on Deck 17, the complexes have separate living and sleeping areas and the most expansive balconies in the Carnival fleet — all unusual-for-Carnival features.
THE PUNCHLINER COMEDY CLUB
Carnival draws a lively, outgoing crowd looking to be part of the action. Carnival trips are all about letting loose and having a good time. Maybe you'll drink a little too much, eat a little too much, play a little too much — but in the end, you'll say it was your best trip ever. Occasionally, Carnival will deploy a ship to Europe for a few weeks or months.

Center Stage features a rotating selection of live entertainment, while Grand View Bar serves up great drinks with plenty to feast your eyes on. In Grand Central you're never far from cups of comfort at JavaBlue™ Café, great dining spots like Bonsai Sushi™ and Bonsai Teppanyaki™, plus feel-good entertainment like Piano Bar 88™ and The Punchliner Comedy Club™. Unfortunately, Carnival has been slow to adopt solo cabins, meaning that no ships in its fleet offer accommodations for one. The new Loft 19 enclave found on both Mardi Gras and Carnival Celebration offers full bar service, a private pool surrounded by sun loungers and cabanas available for rent. As noted above, Carnival ships generally don't offer a lot of suites. For the most part, the suites they have are relatively modest in size and amenities compared to the suites at some of the line's rivals.
Sail a few longer voyages, like a transatlantic sailing, and you could reach it even sooner. All vessels operate on a "cashless system," with any onboard purchases you make posting automatically to your onboard account. You'll receive a Sail & Sign card that you can use to make charges. Most vessels have standard North American-style, 110-volt outlets in rooms, as well as European-style, 220-volt outlets.
There are cruises as brief as two days and some as long as 31 days, depending on where you’re headed. With plenty of routes from the U.S. and international destinations, countless member benefits and a wide selection of cabins to choose from, you’re sure to find the perfect cruise for you. We don’t have proof, but evidence suggests that the Caribbean was made for cruising.
In general, Carnival ships are among the most affordable at sea. It's not uncommon to find Carnival voyages to the Caribbean, Bahamas or Mexico starting well under $100 per person, per night including all taxes and fees — at least in the offseason. In other words, if you are sailing seven-night cruises, you will be Gold level on your fourth sailing, as you will be passing the 25-day mark on that sailing. On most ships, smoking (including electronic cigarettes) is only allowed in designated outdoor areas and in casinos and nightclubs.
Fellow Passengers
Expect an onboard brewery, incredible restaurants, and family-friendly fun. Before committing to a cruise, I break down the price per person per night, particularly if I need multiple cabins because I'm traveling with a group. I recommend you take advantage of Carnival's convenient 24-hour reservation hold, which displays the total cost, itinerary, and a countdown timer so you know when to purchase to secure the locked-in price. The Carnival Celebration ship, which sails to the Caribbean from Miami, is the line’s newest ship, and debatably the best carnival cruise ship. In addition, vessels offer extra-charge laundry and, on select ships, dry cleaning services.

Carnival ships also have lively bar nightlife, especially on ships with a RedFrog Pub; there's also an always-busy casino. People on Carnival cruise ships hail primarily from the United States, mainly the south and Midwest, but you'll also meet folks from Canada, England and usually a handful of other European countries. Carnival Cruise Line sells itself as the "fun" cruise line, and it attracts cruisers who are looking to have a good time with little to no pretensions. Carnival cruisers, who range from young to old, tend to be quite friendly, looking to strike up conversations with other people in the buffet, by the pool and, really, anywhere.
It depends on the destination, but in The Bahamas, Caribbean, and Mexico, the hottest deals are typically for cruises in January, February, September, and October. In Alaska, look for deals on cruises sailing in May and September. At Cucina del Capitano® on Carnival Jubilee™, who you’ve got gathered around the table is truly as important as what’s being served there. At our table you’ll enjoy delicious Italian favorites — we serve them family-style because we know that sharing large plates and sharing tales of your day’s adventures goes hand-in-hand. Speaking of which, our walls are adorned with old snapshots from our officers’ family albums, proving that the rustic Italian-farmhouse atmosphere definitely isn’t for show.
While the buffet is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, dining rooms tend to be dinner-only affairs, save for sea days when Carnival’s popular Sea Day Brunch (reservations required) is offered. Carnival tops its deals with reduced deposits, onboard credit, and room upgrades. Carnival also promotes zero-down and zero-percent financing through Uplift, which can save credit card interest if you are paying for your cruise over time. Carnival makes it super easy to search their site for deals, often with a red alert at the top of the page and by clicking on "Cruise Deals" under the main "Plan" tab in the header. The secret sauce with Carnival is always to be logged in with your Very Important Fun Person (VIFP) Club account, which you can sign up for free before you even book your first cruise. Cloud 9 Spa™ staterooms on Carnival Jubilee™ feature exclusive décor and in-room amenities to help soothe you after a long day’s fun — spa bathrobes and slippers, plus toiletries by Elemis.

The Soul Train Cruise returns for its 12th sailing in January with more than 50 live performances from soul music legends. A themed cruise is a special-interest sailing based around interests and hobbies such as food and wine, sports, dancing, crafting, popular films and TV shows, lifestyles and music. I’ve written tons of articles just like this one that discuss the best music festivals, concerts, events, and parties all over the globe. Few genres of music are as fun as polka, while cruise holidays are inherently fun, making this a match made in heaven.
There’s nothing like rubbing shoulders with the lead singer of your favorite band at the buffet.
Popular musical genders on the specially themed music and dance cruises are Rock, Country, and Folk bands. And Classical music and Jazz themed cruises offer one truly sophisticated experience at sea. Often music-themed sailings are combined with specials from the category of Food and Wine cruises. These are usually Jazz- or Classic music-themed (often river cruise) deals, offering a gourmet voyage on some of Europe's biggest rivers, such as the Danube, or Rhone and Seine in France. ‘Rock Hard and Vacation Harder’ as you enjoy some rocking tunes on the ocean waves with this entertainment-packed cruise.

Very special are also all the music concert voyages on big riverboats in Europe. As these musical boat rides have become more popular, more and more of them have been popping up.

Few franchises have fan bases as devoted as "Star Trek," and all the love for the series floats this cruise. The voyage is an immersive getaway with an impressive roster of cast members and creatives who have been a part of "Star Trek" since its inception.

They also can be a fantastic way to get up close and personal with your favorite EDM artists and DJ’s. It’s a really nice and intimate vibe on board these cruises, especially compared to the massive festivals, and it’s pretty common to see artists just strolling around the ship. If you love your cruise holidays to be laid back and relaxed, then the Smooth Jazz cruise could be ideal. Yes, you’ll have the chance to dance along with hundreds of other jazz fans, but you can also lay back on your lounger and let the soulful music wash over you as you enjoy total cruising bliss. The Soulshine at Sea cruises are about more than just good music – it’s about living your best healthy life with good vibes.

I love some old school Madonna including Holiday (right?) and Cherish, but La Isla Bonita seems to be a favorite of many cruise fans. It got me thinking, so many cruisers have a cruise playlist of favorite cruise inspired songs. They can be great to listen to before your cruise, as you travel to your cruise ship, or even during times you’re not cruising if you’ve got a little bit of the post-cruise blues. For Sixthman’s Jay and Silent Bob Cruise Askew, which sailed in February, the cult film's director Kevin Smith hosted a table reading with fans.

Enjoy meet and greets and even bar crawls with some of the acts, or even a special dinner hosted by your favourite musician. It will be 3-day weekend adventure like never before aboard Royal Caribbean’s spectacular Navigator of the Seas.
I actually just came off an 11 day Celebrity Cruise, and even danced to this there as part of the sea day pool activities. If you’re creating a cruise vacation video, you may want to use some cruise songs to go along with your fabulous photos, videos and cruise memories. The list of specialty cruises goes far beyond the ones mentioned above. This is not a full-ship charter, so you'll find your group at the many bridge events planned throughout the cruise.

The fare includes access to all performances and meet-and-greets with artists. The Mardi Gras carnival aka "Carnival season" (the name literally means "Fat Tuesday" in French) is a Catholic festival celebrated in the countries of Anglican nations. The celebrations start on Epiphany (or "the feast day" on January 6th) and culminate on the day before Ash Wednesday (called "Fat Tuesday" and "Mardi Gras Day" - positioned exactly 46 days before Easter).
Enjoy the same electronic-themed experience on-board with a vast range of acts and themed nights to enjoy, as well as special events including tequila crawls and more. Enjoy the best in live entertainment while cruising on some of the most innovative ships at sea by booking one of these sailings. Not much — except perhaps encountering your celebrity crush at the ship's buffet, attending a no-holds-barred Q&A with your favorite actors or musicians or taking a small-group class with a rising star. KISS have long held incredible rock cruises at sea and these voyages are packed with exciting talent offering music shows, headlined of course by the band themselves. The company makes sure performers understand that their cruise won’t be successful—or repeatable—if they just hide in their cabin between performances. However, expect many opportunities to engage with your favorite wrestlers, meet Jericho and attend live podcast recordings. These experiences offer the chance for people from around the world to meet, swap ideas, share art and inspire creativity. On an Alaska cruise, let us show you Glacier Bay National Park — a UNESCO World Heritage Site — Endicott Arm & Dawes Glacier, College Fjord or Hubbard Glacier. The largest tidewater glacier in North America, Hubbard Glacier has been moving its mass towards the ocean at a rate faster than most of its kind.
